Friends, as most are under quarantine guidelines in America due to COVID-19, We, along with all the people of Honduras are truly house bound 7 days a week 24 hours a day. We were allowed Wednesday to leave our home to go to the grocery store and return home. We were told we only had 20 minutes in the store. The stores were allowed to open at 7am and people were allowed to enter in groups of 30. We left our home at 6am and were #29. You can see John in the red shirt and Ana in the yellow shirt. Thankfully we were in the first group and were in and out in 25 minutes. We purchased food for 2 weeks to keep at home. Every road into the city is blocked off with gates and armed guards and people were only allowed to move about between 6am and 5pm. According to what is being said, we will not be able to leave our house until possible March 29th. At this time things will be reevaluated and the curfew will be lifted or extended.

John Israel is “in school” from his home computer the same hours he would be in school so he missed the excursion to the grocery store.

Even though Dr. Ana and John are not able to work any medical brigades due to the COVID-19 we still need your support. Obviously we have grocery expenses, rent and utilities – that work some of the time- please take a moment to give online at www.thehandsofchrist.org/give. Anything you give will be helpful from $5 to $5,000. Our funds are quite low at this time and any support you can give is beneficial.

Please share our post to reach others who may be interested in our work in Honduras. All donations are tax deductible. We would love to hear from any and all of you. We pray that each of you are safe and healthy. We appreciate each one of you and the prayers for us and our work. Please remember to pray for us to be safe and healthy and to spread God’s word and salvation plan to all we can.

Again, we thank God for each of you. May His peace that passes all understanding rule your hearts and minds.

Psalm 91:9,10 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall be no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh to thy dwelling.

John and Ana

It is difficult to see but in the photograph of the road you can see the road has metal gates across it and there is only one lane open.  There are police and military guards letting cars pass thru the gate.

Lined up waiting to get in the supermarket. I am in the red shirt

and Dr. Ana is in the yellow shirt.
